VCA Northwood Animal Hospital provides referral surgeries for the surrounding states, a general practice for local clientele and an emergency practice. VCA Northwood is AAHA-accredited and attained a Veterinary Economics Award in 1997 for Hospital Design.
Hospital Description:
The hospital, built in 1996, includes two advanced surgical suites, a procedure room, surgical supply preparation area, radiology suite, critical care area, and an isolation ward. The hospital has 5 examination rooms, in-house laboratory equipment and a pharmacy area.
Anderson-area attractions include: Hoosier Park, Mounds State Park, Historical 8th Street, Gaither Family Resources, Paramount Theatre Center and Ballroom, and Anderson University. VCA Northwood Animal Hospital is located on the North side of Anderson and is 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis on Interstate 69. Indianapolis has fine dining, theatres, downtown shopping, the Indianapolis Zoo, NCAA headquarters and museum, Indianapolis Motor Speedway (where the annual Indianapolis 500 is held) and the White River State Park.
