Hospital Description:
Our facility is a beautiful, 18,000 square-foot, Southwestern-style, free-standing building located in Mesa, Arizona. Mesa is the third-largest city in Arizona, after Phoenix and Tucson. The new building first opened in July 2005, after moving its specialty and emergency services from Mesa Veterinary Hospital - a clinic that has been open for more than 50 years. It is a state-of-the-art facility offering advanced patient diagnostics and monitoring.
Mesa is one of the nation's fastest-growing cities, and currently ranks as the 41st largest. In 2005, it was estimated the city's population was 451,860. Though a suburban city, Mesa actually has a larger population than better-known cities such as St. Louis, Missouri and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We are a few hours away from the Grand Canyon and the scenic red rock country of Sedona. We are also a short distance away from Old Tucson, the home of Wyatt Earp and the filming location for many of the old-time western movies. To the north are the majestic mountains of Flagstaff, where you can enjoy snow skiing, camping, and hiking. There are numerous lakes nearby in which to enjoy a variety of water activities. Phoenix is host to 5 professional sports teams (baseball, football, hockey, and men’s and women’s basketball), as well as the Cactus League, spring training home for 12 MLB teams. Phoenix/Mesa also offers a variety of art festivals, concerts, and theater productions.
